Our mission is to publish thrilling, visually and intellectually stimulating books of the highest quality and production values while concentrating upon contemporary poetry, translations, fiction, and memoirs by the strongest emerging and established writers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and languages.

Dorset Prize, an annual open competition for all poets writing in the English language. $10,000 prize and publication. Submission period: September 1 through December 15 of each year.
First Book Award (in conjunction with the journal Crazyhorse). An annual competition for first books of poetry.
Submission period: January 1 through April 15 of each year.
Snowbound Chapbook Award. An annual competition for poetry chapbooks. Open to all poets writing in English.
Submission period: Dec. 15 through Feb. 15 of each year.
