Umbrella launched in 2006 as a form-friendly but not form-exclusive journal with a mission to publish excellent, idea-based poems of intense focus and verbal momentum.
Its sister journals are Bumbershoot (light verse) and Tilt-a-Whirl (repeating forms). Readers and contributors have praised the journals for their content and design.
Over the years we have featured the work of Richard Wilbur, A .E. Stallings, children's laureate J. Patrick Lewis, and many other fine poets, Womponies among them.
