4. The Spring 2014 issue of Beltway Poetry Quarterly has been released, with in-depth features of the work of six extraordinary DC-area poets. Volume 15:2 includes our first bilingual selection of poems in French and English, two international poets, and the diverse range of voices that has become the hallmark of Beltway Poetry.
Featured authors:
Indran Amirthanagayam, born in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), who works for the US Foreign Service and is author of nine books;
Jennifer Chang, who recently joined the creative writing faculty at the George Washington University;
Tina Darragh, a reference librarian at Georgetown University and one of the original members of the Language group of poets;
Melanie McCabe, a high school English teacher in Arlington, VA, whose second book of poems was just released;

Abdourahman Waberi, born in Djibouti, who teaches Francophone literature at the George Washington University, and whose selection of poems was masterfully translated by Nancy Naomi Carlson.
