Last weekend, Beltway Poetry was proud to co-sponsor a celebration: the 20th anniversary of It's Your Mug, the first spoken word venue in DC. Events included a dynamic performance at the Kennedy Center, a party, an open mic, and a panel discussion (which Kim Roberts moderated). They also released a limited-edition chapbook of the poems originally printed in Beltway Poetry for the 15th anniversary. Guest edited by Toni Asante Lightfoot, the special issue has an introduction by Holly Bass and photos by Thomas Sayers Ellis. Contributors include Toni Blackman, Joel Dias-Porter, Monica A. Hand, A.
