2. The Spring 2011 issue of Beltway Poetry Quarterly is now available for free online, featuring seven exciting and diverse voices from Washington, DC. Volume 12:2 features the poems of Donna Denize, Julie R. Enszer, Charles Jensen, Gowri Koneswaran, Yvette Neisser Moreno, Gregory Pardlo, and stevenallenmay. Contains a generous selection of poems by each of the featured authors, edited by Kim Roberts.

Donna Denizé is the author of the poetry chapbook, The Lover's Voice (1997) and a full-length book of poems, Broken Like Job (2005). She is Chairman of the English Department at St. Albans School for Boys, where she teaches Shakespeare, American literature, and freshman English. During the summer, she teaches in "The Cathedral Scholars Program," an academic enrichment program which serves students from 15 different DC public schools.
Julie R. Enszer is the author of a full-length book of poems, Handmade Love (2010) and a chapbook, Sisterhood (2010). She is enrolled in the PhD program in Women's Studies at the University of Maryland. She is a regular book reviewer for the Lambda Book Report and Calyx.
Charles Jensen is the author of The First Risk (2009), which was a finalist for the 2010 Lambda Literary Award. He serves on the board of directors of the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, volunteers with the Maryland Humanities Council, and serves as co-chair of the Emerging Leader Council of Americans for the Arts.
Gowri Koneswaran is author of the chapbook Still Beating (2010), and has performed at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. She hosts "Poetry in the Morning" and "Poet-Tree in Bloom" at BloomBars community arts space in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of DC and was a member of the 2010 DC Southern Fried Slam team.
Yvette Neisser Moreno has translated two books of poetry from Spanish, South Pole / Polo Sur by María Teresa Ogliastri (co-translated with Patricia Fisher), forthcoming in 2011; and Difficult Beauty: Selected Poems by Luis Alberto Ambroggio (2009). She works as a freelance writer/editor and teaches writing at the University of Maryland University College and The Writer's Center, and serves on the planning committee for the 2012 Split This Rock Poetry Festival.
Gregory Pardlo is the author of Totem (2007). He is recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and a translation grant from the National Endowment for the Arts as well as fellowships from the New York Times, the MacDowell Colony, the Lotos Club Foundation, the Seaside Institute, and Cave Canem. He teaches at George Washington University.
stevenallenmay is the co-founder and head of Plan B Press. He earned a Masters of Arts Management Degree from George Mason University. He curates and hosts the Poetry Lab at the Soundry in Vienna, VA. May is author of three chapbooks, fra ctur ede velo pment (2006), Plastic Sunrise (2003), and Spontaneous Chili (2001).
