6. Dear WomPos, I'm excited to let you all know that the Winter 2012 issue of SRPR is hot off the press!
We also have a spanking-new website, which means that you can now read excerpts from the current issue (and many older issues) online:
www.srpr.org/
In our latest issue you will find heart-stopping poems by our featured poet, Linda Gregerson, as well as new work by William Stobb (this year's EP Contest Winner), Michelle Battiste, Gabe Gudding, Jack Collum, Jennifer Militello, Laynie Browne, Ewa Chrusciel, Ricardo Pau-Llosa, Jonathan Skinner, Lisa Samuels, Tyler Mills, Laura Van Prooyen, and many more. You'll also find a very rich interview between poet-critic Joanne Diaz and Linda Gregerson, and a stunning essay on violence in contemporary U.S. poetry by Joyelle McSweeney and her review of new books by Richard Greenfield, Ben Kopel, and Khadijah Queen. Cover art by Jason Reblando wraps up the issue:
I also want to let you know that we are now accepting online submissions; our reading period is open for one more month (until 2/15). And we are currently accepting submissions for our annual Editors' Prize Contest (deadline 4/15); within a week or so you can submit to the contest online, and we will continue to accept paper submissions as well. Winner receives $1000, 2 runners up receive $100 each, and 3-5 honorable mentions are named. Winners and many finalists are published in the 2013 Winter issue of SRPR. Recent judges inlcude David Baker, C.S. Giscombe, and Jeanne Marie Beaumont. This years's judge will be announced once winners are chosen.
