1. The October issue of Verse Wisconsin is available online, versewisconsin.org: "It's Political," includes poems, visual work, & songs related to politics in a variety of ways, video/audio from contributors, a collection of essays focused on the intersections of the political and poetical, work from "Hip Hop in the Heartland: 7th Annual Educator and Community Leader Training Institute-UW-Madison," an interview with Kentucky poet-publisher Frank X Walker, book reviews, and poetry news in Wisconsin.
As usual, there are numerous Wom-pos among the contributors and the books reviewed! The next issue will be available in April, with a prose focus on women in poetry publishing--send us your essays & reflections by Feb. 1 to editors@versewisconsin.org.
