3. SRPR (Spoon River Poetry Review) is accepting entries for our 2012 Editors' Prize Contest (4/15 deadline). Winner: $1000. Two runners-up, $100 each. Three-five Honorable Mentions.
Every entry is stripped of identifying info. and is read with care by a first-tier judge, and all semifinalists are read (also blind) by our final judge, who writes a one-page introduction to the winning poem. All entires are considered for publication (we published 16 finalists last year in addition to the winning poem, two runners-up, and five honorable mentions).
Recent judges include C.S. Giscombe, Jeanne Marie Beaumont, Claudia Emerson, and Gabriel Gudding. The 2012 judge will be announced after winning poems are selected. Please see website for guidelines and past winners: www.litline.org/Spoon/contest.html
