Wompo Publishers Newspaper
News this week from Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Reading for The Change (back issues of the newspaper are archived at the Wompo festival of women's poetry here: wompherence.proboards.com ).

Beltway Poetry Quarterly, edited by WOMPO Kim Roberts, announces a new issue of the free online journal. The Plan B Press Issue, guest edited by stevenallenmay is the third special issue of 2010, part of a year-long celebration marking the journal's tenth year of publication.
Beltway Poetry Quarterly teamed up with Plan B Press to celebrate the tenth anniversary in January 2010, publishing the print anthology Full Moon on K Street: Poems About Washington, DC. In this issue of the online journal, we celebrate the history of Plan B, with poems by 21 authors published by the press from its founding in 1999 to the present. Featured poets include: Lamont Steptoe, Mary Ann Larkin, Jason Venner, Dan Maguire, Tony Brewer, Tina Darragh, Gray Jacobik, and Tony Medina. The issue traces the press's evolution as it moved from Leola, PA to Philadelphia, to the greater DC area.
Beltway Poetry Quarterly also features a Resource Bank with extensive links covering the Mid-Atlantic region, and a Poetry News section, updated monthly, that covers events and more for Metro Washington, DC. The Washington Post calls Beltway Poetry "accessible, current, and inclusive."

Dear all, I've just recorded 2 of my own Pushcart nominated poems from my collection "But a Passage in Wilderness"
They now appear on Reading for The Change Interviews, Pushcart nominated poems : www.aliceshapiro.com/margoberdeshevsky.html ]
It's a site I was invited to, dedicated to Pushcart noms & recips ;~) to record nominated and/or prize given poems, say where their books are available, on-line & for order--
Nice to have "voice" available online, I'm finding!
And there's room for others to do the same...so do check it out... & if one wants to do the same: ... as it's all just gearing up, there seems to be room for others...
