Book Thug presents a new book (made) by wompo, Cara Benson.
"BookThug’s editorial vision is to enrich and advance the tradition of experimental literature. All manuscripts are evaluated for their artistic merit and their ability to continue the ‘conversation’ about experimental literature."

The Word Works is considering manuscripts for the 2010 Washington Prize for Poetry. March 1 (postmark) deadline. Each manuscript is given a blind reading by experienced poets, and semi-finalists and finalists are offered feedback. All entrants receive a copy of the winning book. The winner receives $1500, 150 copies, distribution by SPD, and author support.
Past winners include Nathalie Anderson, Carrie Bennett, Chris Bursk, Ann Rae Jonas, Fred Marchant, Jay Rogoff, Enid Shomer, and John Surowiecki. Send 48-64 pages to Nancy White, Adirondack Community College, 640 Bay Road, Queensbury, NY, 12804 with SASE and a check for $25 made out to The Word Works. Guidelines also at wordworksdc.com.
The Word Works proudly announces the release of MAYWEED, 2009 Washington Prize winner by Frannie Lindsay of Cambridge, MA. Her book launch hosted by The Grolier Poetry Bookshop was standing room only!
