Intro / background / mission /history of your 'zine:
We look for well-crafted poems that exhibit an “umbrella idea”: poems with intense focus and superb ideation.
Genres:
Poetry-kindred prose in a number of set categories such as Close Reads, This Old Book, ContraVerse, Musings, interviews. Our ‘zine-within-a-‘zine, the Bumbershoot annual, publishes light verse.
Editors/owner:
Kate Bernadette Benedict, editor and publisher, is author of the full-length poetry collection Here from Away. For many years she worked as a book editor for New York City publishers. Contributing Editor Rachel Dacus is author of Earth Lessons, Femme au chapeau, and other collections.
