Delaware Poetry Review
Intro / background / mission /history of your 'zine:
The Delaware Poetry Review was inaugurated in 2007. The free, online magazine is published in Lewes, DE, and dedicated to showcasing talented poets from the Chesapeake Bay watershed and beyond. The Delaware Poetry Review publishes two issues per year, in the Summer and Winter, and is compiled by a collective of five area editors (all of whom run other literary presses or journals as well). The journal features a remarkably wide range of poets--in subject matter, writing styles, and influences. We think that's a sign of just how vibrant the literary community is in the Mid-Atlantic. Contributors have included: Fleda Brown, Anne Colwell, Beth Joselow, Gerry LaFemina, and Jeanne Murray Walker.
The co-editors are: Michael Blaine, who is editor and founder of the Delmarva Review, published by the Eastern Shore Writers Association; John Elsberg, editor of Bogg: A Journal of Contemporary Writing; Dennis Forney, publisher of the Delmarva Quarterly, the Beach Paper, and the Cape Gazette newspaper; H.A. Maxson, Vice President of Bay Oak Publishers, Ltd., Richard Peabody, editor of Gargoyle Magazine and publisher of Paycock Press; and Kim Roberts, editor of Beltway Poetry Quarterly.
From issue 1, three poems by Barbara DeCesare:
