5. Announcing the release of the Spring 2015 Issue of Beltway Poetry Quarterly! Beltway Poetry continues its popular series highlighting notable single-author, full length, first books. First Books IV features nine authors.
Volume 16:2 provides a generous selection from recently-released and highly recommended poetry books by DC-area authors: Robert Herschbach, Jacqueline Jules, Margaret Mackinnon, Pages D. Matam, Tanya Olson, Carlos Parada Ayala, Luc Phinney, Mary-Sherman Willis, and Katherine E. Young.

Popoff for a small-group opportunity for both professional development and creative expression in this 6-day workshop at the Noepe Center for Literary Arts for writers who teach, particularly focused on K-12 educators. Mornings will focus on PD and best practices, incorporating elements of Our Difficult Sunlight: A Guide to Poetry, Literacy, & Social Justice in Classroom & Community (Teachers & Writers Collaborative, 2011, coauthored by Georgia A Popoff & Quraysh Ali Lansana).
