4. Allyson Whipple is running a revision workshop later this month called Poetry March Madness. The basketball tournament is focused on elimination, and for the last two weeks of March, we're going to work on trimming, cutting, and reshaping poems.
I'll be sending out daily email tips not just for revision, but for deciding when to let go of a poem that just won't work. I might even encourage you to (gasp!) delete entire poems once in a while (though that part is optional).
If you're interested, sign-up information is at my blog: allysonmwhipple.com/2015/02/17/register-for-poetry-march-madness-2015/
5. Barbara Morrison is conducting a Scene Bootcamp class starting Saturday, 7 March 2015. Whether you're writing fiction or creative nonfiction, dramatic scenes are your building blocks. We will create and revise scenes that capture the reader's interest and contribute to an outstanding story.
This intensive workshop starts on Saturday 7 March (12-4 pm) and then continues for four Wednesdays 11, 18, 25 March and 1 April (7-9 pm). LitMore, 3326 Keswick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21211, USA.
