My first ever triolet!
TRIOLET FOR A PASSAGE
I keep my love of you like the roses you left in this vase though their time was through. I keep my love of you, the stain of the water’s residue, a truth that stays. I keep my love of you like the roses you left in this vase.

At Graveside
Shade without sun, she casts a grey shimmer as she steps from the cinder of jagged vale.
Behind her shroud, a bony sepulcher of face.
In her hands, the soft ligament of loss, blanched before the tawny rupture of roses.

That last stanza of "At Gravesite" is pure music -- you cannot say it aloud and not be moved. Thanks for this! And thanks for the haiku and the triolet, the latter of which I've never tried, but may have to!
